Welbi is looking for an experienced Backend Developer to join our fast-growing team. If you’re passionate about technology and want to be involved in improving the lives of older loved ones, we welcome you to apply! Duties and responsibilities

  • Implement new features in our internal and public API’s, as well as the ingestion engine.

  • Participate in TDD by writing automated tests, as well as contributing to weekly testing and code review session.

  • Improve existing architecture to help systems scale to handle large traffic volumes.

  • Build performant new server features with direct impact on the product.

  • Work with other teams to improve on customer feedback and troubleshoot bugs.

Knowledge and skills

Basic Qualifications:

    • Excellent knowledge of PHP

    • Comfortable with the LAMP stack

    • Comfortable building scalable web applications with Laravel

    • Knowledge of consuming web services


Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience working with agile development methodologies

    • Experience with NoSQL database architectures such as Apache Cassandra or DynamoDB

    • Experienced in building RESTful web services

    • Experience with deploying and maintaining production software in Docker

    • Experience with AWS services such as ECS, S3, SQS and SNS

Education required

College or University degree.
