Job Description

As an Energy Analyst Intern, your primary responsibility will be assisting the project management team to create project proposals which detail the scope of work, current technology, replacement technology, energy savings, government incentives, project pay-back and the overall benefits of our projects.  Through our training, you will acquire a clear understanding of the Ontario Energy Programs, current lighting technology and our energy reduction solutions.

Duties and responsibilities

As an Energy Analyst Intern duties may include, but are not limited to, assisting the project management team to create project proposals which detail the scope of work, current technology, replacement technology, energy savings and government incentives.  Additional responsibilities may include:

  1. Creating work plans needed to successfully complete projects
  2. Creating and submitting documents to secure rebates
  3. Ordering materials
  4. Creating schedules
  5. Client communications
  6. Traveling to job sites
  7. Site-walk throughs
  8. Creating, managing and tracking project plans and budgets
  9. Assisting with proposal creation and rebate applications when required
  10. Working with the operations team to continuously improve departmental efficiency
  11. Assisting with various accounting requirements

Knowledge and skills

Qualifications

  • General eagerness to learn and contribute to a growing company
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving abilities
  • Fluent in spoken and written English
  • Ability to multi-task, take initiative, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Experience in the lighting or construction industry is a plus
  • Local candidates only

Education required

  • Recent University/College graduate
